Free Range Chicken Eggs

Our chickens are truly free-ranging. They are out of their coop at sunup, roam around about 10-15 acres of pasture all day, and go back in their coop at sundown. The egg yolks are orange in color, not the pale yellow found in store-bought eggs.

Here are some interesting facts from a Mother Earth News study. Compared to official U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutrient data for commercial eggs, eggs from hens raised on pasture may contain:

• 1/3 less cholesterol
• 1/4 less saturated fat
• 2/3 more vitamin A
• 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids
• 3 times more vitamin E
• 7 times more beta carotene

And our customers say that they're the best-tasting eggs that they have ever had!
